The 198th meeting of the Bodhi Toastmasters Club was held on July 31st, 2022 on the theme “Power of words” . Due to the heavy rain and floods on the way to our regular venue , we immediately decided to conduct our meeting virtually as the best possible and convenient . TM Kumar Thapa, the SAA initiated the meeting with his view on the theme as well as the virtual meeting guidelines and the ground rules. The meeting was then, handed over to the Presiding Officer, TM Anjila Bista who welcomed the guests and shared her thoughts on ‘ Power of words’. The TMOE, TM Sabina Singh Maharjan commenced the meeting with a brief introduction to the theme. She briefed the meeting format and then introduced the General Evaluator of the evening, Toastmaster Niladri Parial. The virtual floor was handed over to the General Evaluator to introduce the team of direct and indirect evaluators.The session moved ahead with its first segment of prepared speeches by featured speakers. The wonderful speakers for the day were TM Tika Nidhi Lohani delivering his speech on L1P2 and TM Bijaya KC Shrestha on L2P1. They were evaluated by marvelous evaluators TM Vaisali Pradhan and TM Mandu respectively.TM Kumar Thapa hosted a catchy Table Topic Session ,the impromptu speaking session. He explained the ground rules of the session and was successful to encourage the guests as well as the toastmasters to immediately volunteer to speak on the interesting topics given by him.The third segment, the evaluation session was led by General Evaluator, TM Niladri along with the team of indirect evaluators that comprised of TM Anjila as taking triple role Grammarian, Ah- Counter and Presiding Officer .TM Jeny Sherchan as Timer, and TM Kumar who was also in a triple role of SAA,TTM and Tech Master.The winners of each segment were TM Bijaya KC as the better-featured speaker, TM ET as Better Table Topic Speaker a foreign guest , TM Vaishali as Better Evaluator respectively.The meeting was adjourned by Presiding Officer, TM Anjila Bista.
